ARTA Committees
ARTA has several committees dedicated to different aspects of promoting reusable textiles. Each committee meets virtually for one hour every other month to discuss relevant topics and guide decisions for ARTA.

Cleanroom Committee This group promotes reusable cleanroom garments and products to the cleanroom industry. After overseeing the work on ARTA’s LCA on cleanroom coveralls, this committee completed an Economic Impact Study on cleanroom garments. The Cleanroom Committee is currently working on language updates for USP 800 standards to include reusable garments. Additionally, the group is discussing topics for their next project. Events Committee The Events Committee focuses on ARTA’s educational programs including the Education Conference, The Clean Show, webinars, and other events as available and appropriate. The committee has worked hard to finalize details for ARTA’s Breakfast and Awards and the joint Education Session with ALM, both occurring at the 2025 Clean Show. Additionally, a webinar is planned for July 9th addressing the common concerns around tariffs, freight challenges, political instability, and currency volatility in the industry. The Events Committee has also been hard at work planning for the 2026 Education Conference. Marketing Committee Overseeing all of ARTA’s marketing programs and materials is the responsibility of the Marketing Committee. So far in 2025, this committee has created membership renewal letters, marketing materials for annual ARTA sponsorships, and marketing materials for The Clean Show. The Clean Show marketing materials includes materials for the ARTA booth on top of marketing for ARTA’s Breakfast and Awards and the joint Education Session with ALM. Next, the committee plans to complete a review of the website to make updates to improve the user experience. | Membership Committee The Membership Committee oversees new member outreach. The committee completed a full audit of the current membership list, as well as the prospect list. Through updating these lists and providing content for member outreach communications, the committee has added several new members to the ARTA group this year! Research Committee ARTA’s Research Committee meets to oversee economic impact studies, life cycle assessments, and other research supporting reusable textiles. This committee has been working closely on an economic assessment and infographic highlighting the annual costs of reusable versus disposable microfiber flat mops and wipers. Additional research topics include underpads, isolation gowns, and USP 800 standards. The group is cultivating relationships with organizations that are interested in funding future research projects led by ARTA. |
